Want to move to California. Any suggestions on cheap ways to accomplish this?

I live in a small town with no job opportunities (I'm currently receiving unemployment), nor much of a thriving metropolis. My 7 year old son's father lives there (we are friendly) and he said I should move there. I've been 3 times and love it. When my taxes come I will have a bit of money and could use this. However, I need to bring my Jeep that would never make that drive to CA from Upstate NY, plus much furniture and household items, Any suggestions on how I can make this happen on a budget? I would need to ship my Jeep, and get my items there. Thank you.
