I actually miss him even though I should hate him...please help me understand?

My ex bf ran off with a crack who just got out of prison (she has no job or car or even a place to stay(she was livin with her fiance when they met obviously he kicked her out when he realized she was cheating). He knew her for 4 days b4 running off with her. He did nothin but lie to me from the moment he met her. Well he called 2 weeks later. I didn't answer. The he called 2 weeks ago and I answered he said he wanted his birth certificate and weights he left at the house. He was being so rude when we were on the phone cuz he was in front of her. I told him I saw him the Friday b4 near my work and he denied it and said he hasn't been anywhere near my area. Then we agreed to meet up alone. When we did we talked for an hour or so and he said he doesn't love her but he cares about her but then he said 'honestly babe I still love u' and then I gave him a hug and we were leavin and he said if you wanna hang out sometime that'd be cool just get in touch with his bro and he'd get ahold of him for me..I said no I just wanted closure and I guess this is it. And I left. Well then last week I ran into him and asked him if he wanted his mail and he was like yea can we go to the house and I was like no sorry I'm havin lunch with someone down here and he was like oh well just send it back or throw it away and I said ok bye and then when I came out of the restuarant he was standing there and said can u bring the mail up to my work I was like I'm kind of busy but ill see. (The mail he got he always threw away its bill collectors n junk) I haven't heard from him since but I've seen him drive by my work. Why is he drivin by? Do y'all think hell try to come home? I'm 22 and he's 24 if that helps
